The word is the contradiction of “traditional” and “robot”. It began life as a band name, but slowly grew to describe my perspective as both an artist and designer. It is the alliance of old and new, steady and surprising, reliable and spontaneous.

North Street is a small and seriously excellent design studio located in downtown Manhattan. I got hooked up with them through a friend, and have been helping them out on a regular basis - building sites, interfaces, and troubleshooting. They are fantastic to work with, and have a very impressive portfolio of work. Check them out at northstreetcreative.com
Erica Simone is a New York based photographer, and self-described world "hopscotcher". We built up EricaSimone.com basically from scratch, with the main focus being a series of galleries. The foundations of the gallery code are the same as what you see on Lolosart.com (by GraphPaperPress), but we played around with it a little to suit her particular style.
Greta Zozula is an up-and-coming cinematographer, here in NYC. She was looking for an extremely simple site to showcase her reel. We built it from scratch, with Wordpress running behind the scenes, and the fairly amazing video player from Brightcove.
Check it out at GretaZozula.com!
Act Zero Films is a Brooklyn-based production company. For their site they needed integrated video that could easily be updated and expanded upon, as well as clear navigation and distinct aesthetics. We began by revising a site they already had (but couldn't update), integrating a Wordpress management system, and eventually we rehauled the entire site.
Visit Act Zero and check out the great work they're doing at actzerofilms.com
The "Float" documentary is a work in progress by Ben Saks and Phil Kibbe exploring the competitive international subculture of indoor, free-flight duration aircraft. Not sure what that is? Watch their trailer at floatdocumentary.com. If you enjoy it you're not alone. The trailer quickly went viral and the team needed a new website STAT for their emerging audience. We put it together in about 48 hours, using a basic WordPress template and customizing it to meet their particular needs.
Lolo is a friend and collaborator with a gift for illustration. Lolosart.com is a portfolio-style site based on a Wordpress template by Graphpaper Press. We had to do a lot of work on the template to make it fit Lolo's particular style, but it turned out very well. It features a fun to use frontpage, multiple galleries, and a blog.
The Mighty Archives is a huge web project of my own that I began undertaking a couple years ago. The website is built around a very intricate video series set on a ship filled with stories. It features tons of original work and an interesting single-page format.
Check out themightyarchives.com to see an experiment in web-storytelling unfold!
And just for fun, a little video I made in honor of Memorial Day, which showcases a variety of video production and editing techniques.
Inspired by the sand animation work of Kseniya Simonova.
